His Eminence Bishop Parthenius of Antania

Abbot of the Sacred Bigorski Monastery

The Bigorski Elder and Abbot, His Eminence, Bishop Parthenius of Antania (Fidanovski) was born on 29th October 1970 in Bitola. Endowed by the great love of God, ever since his early childhood, he begins his spiritual path, at first as a student of the “St. Clement of Ohrid” Seminary in Dracevo, Skopje. God’s Providence wanted him to get a closer and more direct insight into the Orthodox monastic experience, therefore brought him to the Gregoriou Monastery on Mount Athos, where he lived for a certain period, under the profound spiritual guidance of now the late Elder Georgios Kapsanis, the Abbot of Gregoriou.
