The gathering was magnificent but the occasion for it even more elevated: thousand years since the founding of the Holy and God-celebrated Ohrid Archbishopric, whose autocephaly has been renewed today in the image of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, the Church of all Orthodox faithful in the Republic of Macedonia, but also in the dioceses of the diaspora. The festive celebration took place in the ancient church of St. Sophia (the Divine Wisdom), where in the presence of many guests, representatives of the state and local authorities, of the social and cultural institutions in the country and abroad, a ceremonious spiritual Academy was organized on the occasion of this unique jubilee.
