Visit of Distinguished Guests from Austria to the Bigorski Monastery

Yesterday, on a festive Sunday, the Bigorski Monastery had the honor of hosting distinguished guests from Austria, led by: the Austrian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Mr. Martin Pammer; the General Director of EVN, Mr. Wolfgang Mayer; Propst Prälat Anton Höslinger of the Monastery Klosterneuburg; and Prof. Wolfgang von Bandion, Grand Chancellor of the Catholic Order of St. Constantine the Great, accompanied by a group of faithful from Austria.

The visit of these esteemed guests took place within the framework of the celebration of Austria’s National Holiday, October 26, and was marked by spiritual reflection and friendly discussions.

The visitors had the opportunity to meet with the Abbot of the Monastery, His Grace Bishop Parthenius of Antania, with whom they discussed the current challenges and the state of Christianity in Europe.

Our brother, Archimandrite Dositej, guided the guests through the monastery grounds, presenting the facilities and introducing them to the rich spiritual and cultural heritage nurtured by our monastic community.

At the conclusion of the visit, the guests expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm hospitality and satisfaction in having experienced such a profound spiritual environment.

The Bigorski Monastery joyfully opens its doors to all well-meaning visitors and collaborations that enrich and enhance mutual respect and understanding between nations.
