The video recording for the “Christmas Serenade,” as the sixth consecutive traditional Christmas gift from the Bigorski Monastery and the “Christmas Eve Processions”, has been completed and is presented to you with the greatest love.
Rejoice, be merry, share love, be merciful! Christ is Born!
This video recording brings the serenade to life through a beautiful Christmas song that beautifully showcases the Orthodox tradition and family values of the Macedonian people. Through a film story, it takes us back to the past of Bitola, a city that has serenading as part of its cultural tradition.
The Christmas serenade carries the unique rich Byzantine melody. It was sung by adult carolers who went from house to house cheerfully inviting the hosts to go to church, there to celebrate the Birth of Christ and then to bring the great blessing home.
This video recording will remain an eternal witness to the mission of the Bigorski Monastery and the Christmas Eve Processions as a folk, cultural, and spiritual project.
