High-Ranking Diplomatic Guests Visit Bigorski Monastery

Today, on the commemoration of the Dormition of our Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Father, Enlightener, and Teacher Saint Cyril the Philosopher, the Sacred Bigorski Monastery had the honor of welcoming the ambassadors of five friendly nations: H.E. Mr. Denion Metdani, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania; H.E. Mr. Paolo Palminteri, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy; H.E. Mr. András Klein, Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary; H.E. Mr. Jaroslav Ludva, Ambassador of the Czech Republic; and H.E. Mr. Rafael Soriano Ortiz, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain.

With the blessing of our Elder and Abbot, His Eminence, Bishop Partenius of Antania, the esteemed guests were received by the monastery’s secretary, Archimandrite Dositej. He warmly welcomed them and introduced them to the rich history, spiritual significance, and cultural heritage of this thousand-year-old sacred sanctuary.

During the visit, discussions were held regarding the monastery’s current challenges, monastic life, and its role as a spiritual center that fosters the spirit of intercultural coexistence. The ambassadors expressed their admiration for the beauty of the Monastery, its multifaceted mission, and the hospitality of the monastic brotherhood.

This meeting was yet another testament to the continued interest and respect that the international diplomatic community holds for Bigorski Monastery as one of the most significant spiritual and cultural centers in the region.
