His All-Holiness, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, upon being informed of the tragic accident that occurred in the early hours of the morning at an entertainment venue in the city of Kočani, North Macedonia, in which 59 people lost their lives and more than 100 were injured, sent messages of condolence to Her Excellency, the President of the Republic of the country, Mrs. Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, and to the local Shepherd, His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion of Bregalnica.
His All-Holiness prays that the All-Good God may grant rest to the souls of the victims and strengthen their families, as well as aid in the swift recovery of the injured. Furthermore, he expresses his condolences and the sympathy of both himself and the Holy and Great Church of Christ to the people of North Macedonia, who are shaken by this tragedy.
