Today our Holy Monastery was honoured with a friendly visit by the US Ambassador, Her Excellency Kate Marie Byrnes. The highly esteemed guest and her dear friend were warmly welcomed by our Elder, Bishop Parthenius, in the spirit of monastic hospitality and kindness.
During this heartfelt meeting in the study of our Elder, he acquainted the Ambassador with the essence of monastic life and the entire evangelical and social mission of this fraternity. Additionally, the High Representative of the USA conveyed her sincere support and congratulation for the Patriarchal document issued on May 9th by the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, headed by His All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew, according to which our Church has been reinstated in the eucharistic and canonical community with the entire Orthodox world.
After the conversation with our Elder, Ms Kate Marie Byrnes and her friend had an opportunity to get acquainted with the beauty and the spiritual treasures of our monastery, under the guidance of our monastery brother, Archimandrite Dositheus.
