With deep sorrow in our hearts and with humble submission to God’s will, the Sacred Bigorski Monastery announces that our beloved and revered Metropolitan Grandfather Timotej has reposed in the Lord today.
As a faithful servant of Christ’s Church, Grandfather Timotej devoted his entire life to the Lord, leaving behind an indelible legacy of wisdom, pastoral love, and care for the spiritual salvation of his entrusted flock. His archpastoral ministry was a radiant testimony to his obedience to God’s will and his fervent zeal in proclaiming the Gospel.
Metropolitan Timotej will be forever remembered as a shepherd who cherished monasticism, under whose blessing and pastoral care the monastic life in our God-protected diocese was renewed and strengthened. His love for the monastic order and the clergy, his humanity, and the discernment he showed in every crucial moment were true witnesses to his spiritual maturity and inspired wisdom.
The entire brotherhood of the Bigorski Monastery, led by our Elder and Abbot, Bishop Parthenius of Antania, extends heartfelt condolences with filial love to all the clergy, monastics, and faithful of the Diocese, as well as to all who knew and loved our Metropolitan.
Our prayers are now fervently directed toward the Lord for the repose of his soul in the eternal courts of the righteous. May our good God deem him worthy of the Heavenly Kingdom and grant him a share in the everlasting joy of Christ’s light.
