Tomorrow, “Pontifical Oriental Institute” in Rome will host the screening of the film “1000 Years Witness of Light” dedicated to the millennial anniversary of the Bigorski Monastery, directed by Ilija Iko Karov.
The film “1000 Years Witness of Light” had its gala premiere in the hall of the Macedonian National Theater in April 2022.
Tomorrow, on February 14, 2023, at the initiative of the Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia to the Vatican, Ms. Marija Efremova, and under the auspices of the Director of the Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and Religious Groups, Mr. Darijan Sotirovski, the same film will be projected at the Institute at the Holy See.
The aim of this solemn projection is to highlight the beauty and richness of the Macedonian spiritual and cultural heritage, which has been nurtured in the Bigorski Monastery for more than a thousand years in continuity.
