Thanksgiving and Prayer in the Mountain Heights: Divine Liturgy on Mount Krchin

In a place where the deep night leaves its mystical veil and where the morning slowly dresses itself in early light, heralding the day before your eyes; where your feet tread peacefully on soft paths covered with golden leaves; where the tongue delights in listening to silence and the mouth, with each new breath, forms an inner prayer – there, your eyes marvel at the sight of creation opened by the wise and beautiful Creator, where the human spirit rejoices and the soul dwells in tenderness; there, standing steadfast against the fierce winds that seem to whisper the secrets of ancestors who raised a shrine to their beloved God.

Under this majestic sky, on the beautiful peak of Golem Krchin (2,341 meters above sea level), marked by the cross that stands tall, testifying to its spiritual power, with the blessing of our Elder, Bishop Partenij of Antaniski, and in humble filial love, we celebrated the Divine Liturgy for the ninth time yesterday, on September 1st.

Step by step, this year too, a large number of mountain enthusiasts, with hearts full of hopes and yearnings, climbed this magnificent peak. Gathered here, in the vast embrace of the sky and thirsty for the grace-filled light, we collectively raised our thoughts and prayers, united in a common goal: that this quiet grace may never leave us, but always sustain and nourish us with its strength.

May God bless all the participants of this wonderful event, and may He bless and strengthen their families and loved ones, as well as the entire people of God.
