The heart’s joy is immeasurable when it comes to a feast of the Most Holy Theotokos. She is so close to everyone’s heart, showering it with ineffable sweetness and assurance, especially to the heart that honors and loves her. The Mother of the God-Man and of the New Testament people of God – the Church of Christ, with open arms and warm-heartedness, offers her maternal love to everyone. But not just any love, but a love so immense that it contained the Uncontainable God in her womb, which thereby became wider than the Heavens. She is the heavenly throne upon which King Christ sat, and through Him, we people as well.
Our hearts overflow with gratitude for this immeasurable gift and for today’s Divine Hierarchical Liturgy, presided by our Elder and Abbot, Bishop Parthenius of Antania, which took place at the Monastery of the Most Holy Mother of God in the city of Kichevo, called Prechista. The liturgy was co-celebrated with some of the fathers of our Bigorski Fraternity, as well as with the reverent priests: Archpriest Alexander Dimoski from Ohrid, Father Alexander Krstanoski, and Father Alexander Mateski from Kichevo, who lovingly came to participate in the feast of the Theotokos. The heavenly hymns and elevated praises were offered by the lips of the young and God-loving chanters of the Prechista Monastery, the choir “Metropolitan Kozma of Prechista.”
Our beloved Elder, Bishop of Antania, Mr. Parthenius, with a divinely inspired festive sermon, wove praises to the Queen Mother like a wreath of flowers. At the end of the Holy Liturgy, a medallion, a brooch with the image of the Most Holy Theotokos, was awarded by the holy Bishop of Antania to the God-loving Mrs. Kalina Jakimovska, in recognition of her selfless efforts and dedication to the Church, aiding its holy mission. And for the youngest ones, who came with their parents, the bishop distributed Christmas packages for their joy.
