This is the seventh year since with the blessing of our Elder, Bishop Parthenius, the tradition was established to celebrate Holy Liturgy on the mountain top of Great Krcin, our so-called Mount Tabor of Transfiguration, our hill of joy. Part of the Bigorski brothers and sisters of St. George Convent took upon themselves the feat of climbing and prayerful participation in the Divine Service, which was also attended by around forty spiritual children of our monasteries.
They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side (Ps. 65,12) because transfiguration and joy happen where God is. And our Elder, who is our teacher of love, gave us again his blessing to rejoice on the mountain top of Krcin, to experience the beauty of Divine grandeur, thus seeing the divinely created hights and spaces, to contemplate on the uncreated eternal spiritual realms. The powerful graceful presence, especially during the Holy Liturgy, filled the souls of the present faithful with unspeakable joy, light and gratitude. This rare experience was a wonderful rest for the soul and a precious exceptional blessing the faithful were honoured with, because of the strong prayers of our Elder and by the incessant mediation of the Most Holy Theotokos and St. John the Baptist.
