ОOn this warm July day, the Sacred Monastery of Bigorski had the honor of welcoming the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Skopje, His Excellency Mr. Denion Meidani. The Ambassador had a friendly and cordial meeting with the Elder of the monastic brotherhood, Bishop of Antania, Mr. Parthenius, with whom he discussed the monastery’s existing good relations with the Albanian community and the Republic of Albania, as well as the possibilities for deepening those ties in the future.
The meeting took place in a spirit of mutual respect, understanding, and sincere friendship, with emphasis on the importance of Orthodoxy in the spiritual and cultural connection between the two neighboring peoples. A shared hope was expressed that the light of the spiritual and moral values cultivated by the monastic tradition will continue to be a bridge of cooperation and good neighborliness.
