In continuation of the preparations for the celebration of the great jubilee – 1000 years since the founding of the Sacred Bigorski Monastery, our elder and abbot, Archimandrite Partenij, along with part of the brotherhood and sisterhood, had a meeting with our respected and monk-loving diocesan bishop, Metropolitan of Debar-Kichevo Mr. Timotej. In a warm and heartfelt atmosphere at the metropolitan residence in Ohrid, our Elder acquainted the Metropolitan with and sought blessings for the planned activities, as well as assistance for better organization to more fittingly commemorate this unique and very significant anniversary. The meeting reached mutual agreement on the upcoming events, and a specific date for the main celebration was decided upon. October 18th was chosen as the most suitable solution, with an official confirmation of this date expected at the next Synodal session announced for February 6th.
