Yesterday, on the day of the independence of the Macedonian Republic, the president of the Macedonian society “Ilinden” from Tirana, Mr. Nikola Gjurgjaj, visited the Holy Bigorska Monastery. He arrived accompanied by his devout family to personally present the honorary “Ilinden” award to our Elder, Archimandrite Partenij.
The “Ilinden” Award was introduced this year on the occasion of the Society’s tenth anniversary, and it is conferred upon individuals who have shown a special contribution to the life, history, culture, and preservation of the authentic tradition of the Macedonians in the Republic of Albania.
